Seize the Moment – Day 802

Today’s hymn focus will be

“All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name”

Philippians 2:9-11(NLT)

“Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Written in the late 18th century by Edward Perronet, this hymn declares the greatness and the power of Jesus’ name. It was written to express the joyful hymn describing the revival movement, encouraging those who sang it to join with others in proclaiming the everlasting song that would one day be sung at the feet of Jesus.

All hail the power of Jesus name!

                                    Let angels prostrate fall,

Bring forth the royal diadem and crown Him Lord of all

Bring forth the royal diadem and crown Him Lord of all

We need to wake up and join with others as we proclaim the glory and majesty of our Lord and Savior, and look forward to the day when we will be seated at His feet with countless others as we crown Him Lord of all!

All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name!

1
All hail the power of Jesus’ name!
Let angels prostrate fall.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all!

2
O seed of Israel’s chosen race
now ransomed from the fall,
hail him who saves you by his grace,
and crown him Lord of all.
Hail him who saves you by his grace,
and crown him Lord of all!

3
Let every tongue and every tribe
responsive to his call,
to him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him Lord of all.
To him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him Lord of all!

4
Oh, that with all the sacred throng
we at his feet may fall!
We’ll join the everlasting song
and crown him Lord of all.
We’ll join the everlasting song
and crown him Lord of all.
