Seize the Moment – Day 1427

Be a Witness of God’s Redemption!

Isaiah 44

Good morning! This is Pastor Jerry Ingalls from New Castle First Baptist Church and today is Monday, February 12.

In Acts 1:7-8, before Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father, He said to His disciples, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority; but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Alongside of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), this is considered the mission of the church – to be witnesses of God’s redemption, promised by the Father, provided by the Son, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Jesus, the Rock and Redeemer, gave these words in fulfillment of the Word of the Lord, from Isaiah 44:3-8:

“For I will pour out water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring and My blessing on your descendants; and they will spring up among the grass like poplars by streams of water.” … Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides Me. Who is like Me? Let him proclaim and declare it; yes, let him recount it to Me in order, from the time that I established the ancient nation. And let them declare to them the things that are coming and the events that are going to take place. Do not tremble and do not be afraid; have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none.”

Seize the moment and be a witness of God’s redemption – “Return to Me, for I have redeemed you” (Isaiah 44:2b).

God bless you!
